Here's to some Self-love!

A Path to Self-love:

Practicing self-love can become pretty challenging at times, especially when you are in the middle of a difficult situation. And this is to remind you that no matter what the situation is, you are really really special. You deserve to be loved by not only the people who surround you, but also and most importantly by YOURSELF! And here's some guidance which I personally find extremely useful in the exercise of self-love. So do yourself a favor, take three deep breaths, give yourself a warm hug and start practicing the following:

1. Start your day with positive thoughts: 

Be thankful for another wonderful day. Set your goals for the day and do not be worried about the fears and insecurities of yesterday. Tell yourself that you are enough.

2. Surround yourself with positive people:

Keep yourself surrounded by people who make you happy, encourage you go grow and improve in life and make you feel loved. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.

3. Remove all toxicity: 

Seriously, do not settle for less. It is okay to outgrow friendships and relationships. Do not hesitate to let go the people who make you doubt yourself or make you feel anything less than what you deserve. Always remember, it's always "QUALITY OVER QUANTITY".

4. Understand your fears:

You will never be able to get over your fears until and unless you face them. Learn to come out of your comfort zones. Evaluate and understand the reasons for your insecurities and then deal with them. Approach your family, friends or whoever you trust, in case you need support.

5. Allow yourself to make mistakes:

Forgive yourself. Do not be ashamed or embarrassed of your mistakes. But make sure you learn from them. It's okay to make mistakes in the course of your growth. It's all a part of it!

6. Take care of yourself:

Give your body enough food and nourishment. Move that amazing body of yours. Take out time for yourself. Get some refreshments. Clear your mind. Thank your mind and body for doing so much for you everyday.

7. Stop the comparisons:

Tell yourself that there is no one as precious as you! Do not compare yourself with the people around you. Instead, congratulate yourself for every little achievement and believe in your own ability to grow and become successful.

8. Follow your passion:

Even if you're scared, it makes you excited each time you think about it, doesn't it? Follow what makes you special and different from others. Do not be afraid to chase your passion. 

9. Realize that appearances do not matter:

Your real beauty lies in your inner self and not on how you look outside. Do not let the glamour world tell you otherwise. Be kind to others and treat them well, because that's what makes you beautiful. You are valuable as long as you are YOU!

10. Celebrate yourself:

Lastly, celebrate yourself and every little achievement that you have gained do far. Never call yourself mean names. There's already enough criticism coming from the world, and you do not have to add to them. So do not forget to celebrate yourself- and not only on your birthdays.
