A Messy Room Tour

Whenever I hear the word 'messy', the first thing that comes to my mind is the picture of my room. Yeah, no amount of scolding from my mom can make me keep my room clean. Nonetheless, my room is my favourite place on earth; it is my own little space, a space that has seen me grow up and reflects my moods, my choices, my likes and dislikes. And this time, I decided to honor this little messy space of mine by taking you guys on a tour of my room.

So, this is the door that leads you to my room; As a kid, I once tried decorating the door and ended up making this blue poster and later regretted it. But now I kinda love it because it reminds me to, "Smile, Sparkle, Shine".😂

Next to the door stands a shelf that hoards all my sweethearts. These cuties served as students to my teacher-teacher, children to my homemaker game. They know all my stories-happy and sad and they are the best listeners that I could ever get. The little green fish even wags its tail and is my all time favourite.🤭

Then there's this corner where I have put up several quotes, handmade by me with love of course😉. These remind me to stay positive, love myself, and the well thought out colour combination of the posters gives a pretty vibe to my room!👀

Next, comes my favourite part, my wardrobe, it's the messiest, I know. People who have seen me closely know how much I love my outfits and that I never stop flaunting them. I could spend hours in my room, going through my wardrobe, trying on my outfits. It helps me destress and gives me a level of confidence that only few other things in this world can.
Also, I gave my wardrobe a cute makeover by decorating it with minimalist art, which I made on little pieces of grey handmade paper😁

Now comes the prettiest corner of my room, the window with all my plant babies. My mom and I spent hours on painting these little pots and we are in love with them. Even on the laziest days, I water them and then stare at them, all green and lively.

Next in the list is my mini library. This is the only part of my room that I clean and arrange myself, because I hate seeing my books messy. This little library of mine has seen my grow from Panchatantra and Fairy Tales to Enid Blyton and Agatha Christie to finally Dan Brown and Paulo Coelho, and it keeps on growing with me.💕

Then comes a sneak peak into my favourite drawer, because what would I do without my accessories??😏 Shuffling through this drawer filled with earrings, bracelets, scrunchies, nail polishes and so much more will make me happy literally any time any day!!💗

Also, I don't know why but I decided to introduce you guys to this wall sticker. I had won this as a game prize in my school fest when I was in the fifth grade, and it had been here on the wall ever since. Flowers and the butterflies are something that I have always loved and the dark pink shade of the sticker also contrasts the blue and white colour combination of my room.

Next, comes my pretty wooden desk, but very messy of course, with the books I never study.🌝 And that one plant baby which I separated very ruthlessly from its family, in order to make my desk look prettier.😂

And here's to the beautiful view outside my room and more plant babies. They look the best in the monsoon and when the little birds and butterflies of the neighborhood come to play here on my balcony.😌

And last but not the least, here's to my beautiful bed and to one of those very rare times when my room isn't that messy, haha!

Although, I keep my room completely simple and natural, I make sure that it has personal touches and the place is a reflection of who I am. I hope you all liked my room tour. Yay!!
